Submersible Stator Lock
A "stator lock" refers to a phenomenon where the stator of an electric motor is unable to rotate the rotor, often due to a misalignment or imbalance of magnetic fields, or in some cases, a mechanical obstruction. This can also occur in turbine-generator systems, where the stator is considered locked when the pump and turbine speeds are equal, resulting in a net torque of zero.
