Rapier Looms Jacquard Machine
A rapier loom is a type of shuttleless weaving loom that utilizes finger-like carriers known as rapiers to transport the filling yarn across the warp yarns. This design allows for more flexibility and efficiency in the weaving process compared to traditional shuttle looms. The basic operation involves a stationary package of yarn supplying the weft, with one end of the rapier carrying the yarn across the shed (the space between raised warp threads) to the opposite side of the loom. After laying down a pick (a single insertion of weft), the rapier retracts, leaving the new yarn in place.
