E-04D1 is a compatible solution for EPSON printer L6160,L6170, L6190 and M series printers which includes M1140, M1170, M1180, M2140, M2170, M3140, M3170, M3180. Maintenance box absorbs all the waste ink that gets flushed out during printing or print head cleaning. This is a waste ink collection box which prevents waste ink spillage inside the printer. This waste ink collection box or maintenance box has a limited capacity to absorb waste ink. When the absorption limit of maintenance box ,as per the printer logic is reached, a message starts flashing on the LCD screen giving instructions to replace the maintenance box. When the maintenance box is full, you cannot print or clean the print head until it is replaced.
