Oil Measuring Instrument
Sulfur dioxide measured in raw exhaust gas from internal combustion engines can be used as an indicator of oil consumption. With known fuel and lubricating oil sulfur concentrations, the oil consumption rate in g/h (grams per hour) can be calculated from the concentration of sulfur dioxide in the exhaust gas.
