Salgaocar laid the foundation for the development of a thriving mining industry and export trade of the company, V. M. Salgaocar & Bro. Pvt. Ltd. After the passing away of the Founder Chairman in 1984, the company has been led by his two sons, Mr. Shivanand V. Salgaocar, Managing Director and Mr. Dattaraj V. Salgaocar, Managing Director.
